Actor: Wait a minute. Are you saying that we are going to do a show that consists of fifty percent farce and fifty percent Shakespeare? That's ridiculous!
Director: Well, we do hope it will raise a laugh or two, yes, my dear.
What on earth is going on? A theatre company is rehearsing a farce. The director is either crazy or inspirational. Or both. Her sidekick knows more than you'd imagine. Her time will come.
The actors are confused or inspired. Or both. Their comedy script is mysteriously interrupted by some of Shakespeare's greatest poetry. They surf the comedy and find themselves diving into beauty, coming up for air and, somehow, different.
Who is responsible? Does anyone have the answer?
Love, death, madness, beauty, power and folly. A complex plot and an uncanny resolution. Where the absurd collides with the everyday, and love and wisdom and laughter and song win through.
