Clearing out unhelpful programs from the subconscious mind

If something you’re experiencing is not congruent with the field of well being - I suggest you do this process . . .

Begin by acknowledging the feelings that are not congruent with the field of well being - these can be physical, mental, emotional, energetic, material, environmental, interactional, present, past or future . . . you don’t need to be crystal clear about naming or identifying the incongruency . . . simply allow it to have your attention, for a moment or two. No need to linger any longer than that. If you want to give it a name then feel free to do so . . . but I recommend keeping that rather vague so as to get the most benefit from this exercise.

Please know that before every feeling - or bunch of feelings - there are a bunch of thoughts. You may be able to identify some of them because they’ll be familiar to your conscious mind . . . that’s fine, so far as it goes, but the beauty of this procedure is that it allows us to clear a huge reservoir of thoughts stored in the capacious - and usually unreachable - subconscious.

So - please make yourself comfortable and close your eyes and

1. Ask yourself this: Could you, simply in a spirit of curiosity, and just to find out what it feels like, entertain the idea that these thoughts are possibly redundant?

When you get a “yes” - which, if you’ve phrased the question exactly as written, you will - move on to

2. Ask yourself this: Could you, simply in a spirit of curiosity, and just to find out what it feels like, entertain the idea that these thoughts are probably redundant?

3. Ask yourself this: Could you, simply in a spirit of curiosity, and just to find out what it feels like, entertain the idea that these thoughts are definitely now redundant for you?

When you get a “yes” - which, if you’ve phrased the question exactly as written, you will - the job is done. It usually take under a minute to complete. You may find that other layers of discomfort arise - in which case simply repeat the process with this new focus.

When you choose to open your eyes, I recommend you notice anything at all in your surroundings, or in your inner experience, that looks, or seems, different. This will be clear feedback that your relationship with your world has changed. It may seem that the light in the room is brighter, that a ticking clock sounds quieter, that edges seem sharper, that you feel energised in a good way . . .

People I work with regularly have used this successfully with a wide range of uncomfortable feelings - everything from intense physical pain, to emotional disturbances, to long-held phobias, to the apparent onset of a cold . . . experiment . . . remember you can use it with anything at all that is not congruent with the field of well being.

You might care to remind yourself that the field of well being - with your best interests as its interests - will get your attention when it needs to . . . if we pay attention to small incongruities (and they can be very small and not particularly disruptive) then it doesn’t have to shout to get our attention. If we find ourselves having a stressful day, and do the work the field of well being wants us to do, then the stressful feelings can be understood as useful feedback that we are out of harmony with the field of well being - and a nudge in the best possible direction. No more - but also no less.
