Caliban's Islandeasy access Shakespeare
Easy Access Shakespeare Caliban's Island is part of an ongoing special project being developed by Somesuch Theatre; Easy Access Shakespeare. There are two complementary aspects to this work. On the one hand, we bring you Shakespeare plays that are edited and creatively reshaped in an imaginative way that honours the poetry and story of the original whilst allowing them to be easily understood and enjoyed. On the other hand, we present new plays which are creative responses to the same plays. Full of humour, wisdom and surprises, they can be appreciated without any experience of the Shakespeare text with which they are linked, or savoured for their echoes and reflections. Currently in development: The Tempest, A Midsummer's Night's Dream, The Winter's Tale.
